Kate's Choice, illustrated left, is an example of software designed to promote talking, learning and thinking within a curriculum area - that of PHSE and Citizenship.

The basic design is very simple. It is an interactive story or branching narrative in which decisions have to be made. The original Kate's is a one-off bit of crudely made software for research purposes. It proved extremely successful in promoting thinking with the curriculum. The original is now freely available from www.thinkingtogether.org.uk. I started to turn this design into a template or 'shell' which would make it easy to produce other similar stories in different areas of the curriculum, but unfortunately this plan ran out of steam.
